The school staged competitions, including one on engineering, an astronomy night and took part in a CSI: Investigation challenge.
Relieving Head Teacher of Science, Abraham Choukair said Science Week provided a catalyst to engage students in pursuing a career in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths).
“All activities were planned to supplement scientific innovation and excellence. Students in stages 4 and 5 competed in bridge building and water tower challenges respectively,” he said.
“Members of the community were invited to attend our famous astronomy night to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing with guest astronomers leading observations of the moon’s surface craters, Jupiter and Saturn.
“Students also had the opportunity to engage in solving a crime scene mystery to explore techniques such as latent image detection, fingerprinting and blood typing, providing a well rounded student experience to tie in all branches of science.
“We are very proud to have hosted such a wonderful week of events.”
