Schools buzzing over spelling bee challenge

THE best spellers across the region’s schools will be coming together for the regional finals of the Premier’s Spelling Bee.

The biggest of its kind in the country, the war of words to be fought by the young orthographers has seen thousands of students taking part in previous years and 2019 shows no sign of slowing down.
Panania North Public, McCallum Hill Public, Mortdale Public and Guildford Public will be playing host to the schools over the coming month.
Bankstown North and West, Banksia, Hammondville, Harcourt, Holsworthy, Padstow, Revesby, Riverwood, Wiley Park, Beverly Hills North, Campsie, East Hill, Georges Hall, Greenacre and Wiley Park public schools will be going to Panania North Public on September 4.
Ashbury, Beverly Hills, Canterbury, Croydon, Earlwood, Marrickville, Wilkins, Petersham, Stanmore, Tempe, Summer Hill, Peakhurst and Peakhurst West public schools will be bringing their A-game to the halls of McCallums Hill Public on September 9.
