School wins $320,000 upgrade

STUDENTS at Wattawa Heights Public School will benefit from a $320,000 upgrade.

State MP for East Hills, Wendy Lindsay, visited the school with Education Minister Sarah Mitchell to announce the funding which will pay for the school’s external movement areas to be resurfaced, enabling the buildings to be better connected.
“These upgrades will greatly benefit students and staff,” Ms Lindsay said.
Both were also impressed with the school’s ‘Student Voice’ session where students learnt about leadership.
“The Student Voice initiative is a great way to get students involved in discussions and encourage students to become leaders,” Ms Lindsay said.
Ms Mitchell also presented new books for the school library.
