Saving life tips at Safety Expo

THE Community Safety Expo (pictured) held over the weekend was a huge success, with more than 1,000 people turning out to meet emergency services and participate in safety demonstrations.

Canterbury Bankstown Mayor Bilal El-Hayek said the day was full of action and the information provided could help save someone’s life.
“The bike and helmet safety challenge were pretty popular with the kids and I’m sure they learnt so much about the dangers of not following the rules,” he said.
“And, of course, the younger kids got a blast climbing the fire trucks and meeting Xander, the FRNSW detection dog.”
