Salvos offering feast of support for local battlers

THE Auburn Salvation Army hosts a range of activities each week including a Community Kitchen serving a hot two-course lunch, four days a week.

Lunch, including vegetarian options, is available for just $5, or $2.50 for concession card holders, from Monday to Wednesday, and Fridays, 12-1.30pm.
Recent menu choices included veal schnitzel, stuffed mushroom and vegetables, vegetarian nachos, honey mustard chicken, apricot muffins and custard, as well as lemon cheesecake and sticky date pudding.
The Salvation Army also hosts weekly English conversation classes, moneycare workshops and a homework club for school students at Auburn.
