Smashing their opposition 18-4 and becoming Sydney Metro Open Women’s Premiers 2024, Saints try scorers were Ema Rainima, Jade Pond, Charlotte Eather and Abigayle Sekitoga, with Captain Luisa Yaranamua kicking a conversion and Nanise Vakacavu named as Player of the Match.
Saints assistant secretary Mette Kitiona said it was a great defensive performance from the team who held out Mounties for most of the match.
“After a disrupted season with washouts, it was great the game could go ahead,” she said.
“Thanks must go to the players and also their coach Jon Wilson whose passion for coaching league is inspirational.”
Training at Bill Delauney Reserve in Revesby Heights, the club features players aged from four years up to masters.
