Rubbish pick-up app’s helping us come clean

MORE than 100,000 bookings for rubbish pick-ups have been made through an online app since it went live on Cumberland Council’s website in October 2017.

Using the free online app developed in partnership with OneBlink, residents can book a free waste collection or report illegally dumped rubbish in just a few clicks.
Mayor Greg Cummings reminded residents that they could book up to four free council collections a year for up to two cubic square metres of items.
“We want clean streets across Cumberland and the OneBlink app is proving to be a great tool that is giving residents a quick and easy way to notify the council about waste services and report illegal dumping,” he said.
The app can be accessed via cumberland.nsw.gov.au. Collections can also be booked and dumping reported on 8757 9000.
