‘Royal Lifesaving Lifeguard of Year’

THE smell of chlorine isn’t a bad way to start each day for Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre Pool operations supervisor Michael Slee (pictured).

A lifeguard for 10 years, he has been named Aquatic and Recreation Institute of NSW (ARINSW), Royal Lifesaving Lifeguard of the Year.
Starting at the Aquatic Centre in 2011, he is also part of the ARI Young Leader’s Advisory group and the award recognised his “consistently positive and encouraging attitude, along with his commitment to high standards”.
