Roll up for fight night

PROVING that we love a good fight, boxing is back by popular demand at Bankstown Paceway next Saturday night.

With amateur boxing starting at 1pm, the professional rounds will kick off at 5pm and promoter Neutral Corner’s Paul Nasari says fans can expect a blockbuster fight card with two shows in the one day – up to eight professional and 18 amateur bouts.
“It doesn’t get much better than this,” he said.
“There’s a rematch plus three title fights that will have the crowd on the edge of their seats.”
The rematch is for the Female Super Featherweight Australian Title between Tywarna Campbell and Jessica Adams.
“Last time at this venue, they fought a draw and the title remained vacant; sadly both girls thought they had got the decision but a draw it was,” Nasari said.
“In all my years of promoting, this is one of the best fight cards, every bout will be a main event.”
Fighting for the NSW Lightweight Title is Daniel Carr versus Emmet Brown and the NSW Middleweight Title will see Alex Walters pitted against Salih Ozdemir.
Pro debut Anton Markovic takes on classy Jason Fawcett for the WBL Super Welterweight Title and world champion George Kambosos Jnr will also make an appearance.
“George made his debut and won his NSW, Aussie and regional titles all on Neutral Corner shows,” Nasari said.
He is expected to team up with Jon Harker and former world boxing champion Barry Michael in the commentary box.
A great way to enjoy the March 12 fights is a VIP table of 10 with a three-course meal and alcohol included; call Nasari on 0413 812 274 for tickets.
