Robbery charges

POLICE are investigating links between an alleged robbery and kidnapping at Punchbowl and aggravated break-ins across the south west.

About 2pm on Friday, February 22, a 33-year-old man was contacted via an online marketplace by a man wanting to sell a new laptop. They agreed to meet at an apartment on Dudley Street, Punchbowl.
About 5.30pm, two men allegedly held the 33-year-old man against his will, threatened him with a knife, and stole cash and his car keys.
A 39-year-old man was charged for his alleged role in the incident and remains before the courts.
As part of their inquiries, investigators wants to speak to another man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He has been described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, of a solid build, and with a black beard. He is depicted in the vision wearing a black hooded jumper, jeans and black and red sneakers.
Under Strike Force Linclunden, officers are also examining links to three aggravated break and enter incidents from a basement storage space in a unit complex on Willis Street, Wolli Creek, on Tuesday, July 2, Friday, July 5 and Wednesday, July 10, in which a group of males, armed with a pole, stole 204 pieces of furniture, including fridges, mattresses, lounges and dining tables, which is used to furnish apartments for lease or sale.
As investigations continue, anyone with information is urged to come forward.
