Police attempted to stop the car on Gibson Avenue last Thursday about 9.50am when it allegedly sped off.
A pursuit was initiated before it was terminated a short time later due to the danger.
Police continued to monitor the vehicle’s movements for 45 minutes as it travelled through a number of suburbs, including Greenacre, Milperra and Bankstown, before road spikes were deployed on Erskine Park Road, Erskine Park, and the vehicle came to a stop.
A man arrested at the scene was charged with police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, possess prohibited drug, and custody of knife in a public place.
Investigate ‘sus’ fire with unit evacuated
POLICE are investigating a fire at a unit in Bass Hill last Wednesday afternoon.
About 1.15pm, emergency services were called to a unit on Robertson Road, Bass Hill, following reports of a fire.
Firies quickly extinguished the blaze and no-one was injured
Police are now investigating and are treating it as suspicious.
