The free festival will host a huge line-up of food trucks and street food stalls alongside famous Auburn eateries for an “authentic Ramadan outdoor dining experience”.
“Get into the Ramadan spirit and join us under the night sky,” a council spokesperson said.
The festival will be held at Auburn Town Centre, Auburn Road (between Mary and Beatrice Streets), on Saturday, April 23, 6pm-midnight.
Cumberland councillor Ola Hamed said the festival was about people from all religious denominations coming together and embracing each others’ cultures and traditions, which was in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan.
“It brings the community together,” she said.
“Our diversity is our strength and it must be celebrated.
“Our very first event was a huge success with over 15,000 people from across Sydney flocking to the streets of Auburn, and I encourage everyone to attend this not to be missed event.”
State MP for Auburn, Lynda Voltz, said that over the last two years during lockdown, Ramadan had been a very important time of sharing and giving, particularly to those in need in the middle of a pandemic.
“It’s exciting the community is at last able to celebrate together after some difficult times that have kept family and friends apart,” she said.
“Ramadan Mubarak to everyone in the community.”

THE Ramadan Street Food Festival will return to the streets of Auburn next month for one night only.
