On offer for eight weeks at the club’s grounds at Bill Delauney Reserve in Revesby Heights, the clinic is ideal for girls aged eight to 18 years and will appeal to parents, according to Club President Chris Zanbaka, since it is along the lines of League Tag with no tackling involved.
“We’ve had two League Tag teams for girls for a couple of years and will soon be offering it to five and six-year-old boys too when Football NSW introduces the program later this year,” he said.
Fielding about 350 players, not including coaches, officials and volunteers, last season, Zanbaka expects similar numbers to roll in at their upcoming registration day on Sunday, February 20, from 10am-1pm.
“We had 23 teams last year and since we were established in 1965, have spawned 21 First Grade NRL players,” he said.
“It’s a very family oriented club and we focus on developing skills from an early age in a supportive environment.”
Registrations are now open online for 2022, with boys and girls of all ages welcome from under 5s to 16s, with Active Kids Vouchers available.
To register online, go to playrugbyleague.com.au and search for St Christophers JRLFC.
