He said there’s so much more to sport than physical health benefits, it has the ability to build confidence, self-esteem, team-work, communication, social skills, leadership, goal-setting and resilience.
As such, he is inviting parents to register their daughters to give soccer a go in the 2024 season.
“We are looking for girls as young as four-years-old and up to develop their skills and build up a love for the game early,” he said.
“We are also hosting trials specifically for our all age ladies division 2, 1 and ladies premier league on Sundays, November 19 and 26 and December 3 from 4pm at Guildford West Sportsground, with all invited to come along.”
The largest female soccer club in the area, Holroyd Rangers SC is committed to growing female participation and has already enjoyed immense success, winning not only the Women’s Premier League this year but also Division 1 and 2.
“We’re looking forward to having a bumper season next year and meeting all of the new faces; who knows, your daughter might be the next Sam Kerr or Mary Fowler,” Rizk said.
