Refused bail over alleged tool thefts worth $200,000

POLICE have charged a man following investigations into the alleged theft of approximately $200,000 worth of power tools (pictured) from various locations including Merrylands and Holroyd.

In March, Cumberland Police began investigating steal from motor vehicle offences in the Merrylands area, and after extensive enquiries, raided a home in Parramatta last Friday, arresting a 35-year-old man.
Police will allege the man was in possession of numerous power tools, a Yamaha motorcycle, electric scooter and a small bag containing methylamphetamine.
The items were seized for forensic examination.
The man was charged with six counts of larceny, five counts of destroy or damage property, steal motor vehicle, deal with property proceeds of crime equal to or greater than $100,000, break and enter intend to commit serious indictable offence, and break and enter intend to commit serious indictable offence (attempt).
He was bail refused to reappear on June 20.
