THE new noise wall along Fairford Road, between Stacey Street and Macauley Avenue at Bankstown, is now complete.
The wall stands around 4.5 metres high and 495 metres long and runs along the northbound lanes of Fairford Road.
“This project was funded under the NSW Government’s Noise Abatement Program and will help reduce noise for local residents from vehicles using Fairford Road,” a Transport for NSW spokesperson said.
“The noise wall’s finish, texture and colour were selected to fit in with the local landscape, be low maintenance and discourage graffiti and vandalism.”
The spokesperson said Transport for NSW would like to thank the surrounding community on Fairford Road and Milton Street for their patience during this important work.
