The two-week festival attracted more than 87,700 visitors with more than 16,000 people passing through the gates on Saturday alone, making it the highest turnout on a Saturday.
Special guests included gardening guru and Gold Logie winner Costa (pictured) from the ABC’s Gardening Australia television show, as well as Sanrio stable mates HelloKitty and Gudetama.
Visitors also enjoyed a line-up of Japanese cuisine including an exclusive ‘Cherry bento box’ created by former-Masterchef winner Adam Liaw, as well as Sakeshop Sydney’s Hanamikura Aya sake made from yeast extracted from the Cherry Blossom flower.
