Out of 13 teams from U6s to A Grade, three (pictured) made their respective grand finals this year – U12s, U18s who were undefeated and the minor premiers and the U13s who won their grand final.
Rams Club President Kevin Semaan said all the players, parents and volunteers were thrilled with their efforts.
“We’re a small family club that’s been thriving for 102 years but we love getting extra inspiration after having such wonderful success,” he said.
Enjoying growth in numbers this season, Semaan said the family-oriented Rams were very welcoming to all new players.
“We do so well considering we are right in the middle of the district and our door is always open for other players and their families to join us; it’s a great club,” he said.
“Thanks also this year to our major sponsor Merrylands Bowling Club.
“Anyone thinking of joining next season when our registrations open in February, should definitely get in touch; there is nothing as good as rugby league for juniors when it comes to making friends and building confidence.”
Rams strong charge at grand final glory
THEY’RE only a small club but Merrylands Rams Junior Rugby League Football Club continues to go from strength to strength.
