EXECUTIVE Director Research for the MNDRI of Australia, Janet Nash, could barely contain her surprise after she was presented with a cheque for $40,000 earlier this month, thanks to the spectacular efforts of the Australian Pigeon Convention & Charity Day held at Arena Sports Club at the end of March.
Ms Nash is pictured with the Arena Sports Club General Manager Michael Ekert, Convention Treasurer Allen Wonson, Convention Chairman Phil Murphy and Convention organiser Paul Gibbs who said: “This particular donation is the largest single donation presented by a Racing Pigeon organisation to any charity.”
