Promise funding to Two Blues

THE Two Blues rugby club has been promised $884,000 to fund female friendly and accessible change rooms if Labor wins next month’s Federal election.

Labor’s Federal MP for Parramatta, Julie Owens, joined Shadow Minister for Sport, Senator Don Farrell, (pictured) in Granville last week to pledge the funding to be included as part of a new multi-use, community sports pavilion at Granville Park.
Ms Owens says the Two Blues are the only Shute Shield club with an official wheelchair rugby team and the club also has one of the strongest women’s programs.
“Labor’s investment will help the club to continue to provide opportunities for women, girls and people with disability,” she said.
Granville Park also hosts a number of other sports including soccer, cricket, basketball and touch football and facilities including a water play area and a fitness station.
