Probus Auburn secretary Sandra and member Tony had the full radio experience by pre-recording an interview with breakfast program host Leonie McClure.
A spokesperson says listeners can tune in on the FM band at 100.9 FM or can tune in anywhere in the world from the website and radio apps.
“Our mission as a community radio station is to entertain as well as educate our listening audience,” the spokesperson said.
“We aim to provide a vibrant, community focused and broadly inclusive radio station for the Bankstown and Auburn community that delivers in English and other languages based on the demographics of the broadcast licence area.
“Our programs are created by locals, for our local community.”
Recruiting new members and offering friendship, interesting activities and guest speakers, Auburn Probus meets on the second Tuesday of the month at Dooleys Regents Park, with the next on October 11.
