Canterbury-Earlwood Probus Club includes over 80 members but say there is always room for more.
Getting ready to celebrate their 60th anniversary on June 15, club president Pam Davies says it’s a wonderful club where everyone is made feel welcome.
They enjoy not only the monthly lunchtime meetings at Campsie South Bowling Club on the third Tuesday of the month from 10am but other organised activities.
These have recently included celebrating St Patricks Day at The Fiddler, Rouse Hill, a barbecue at the Kokoda Trail Memorial Park in Concord for Anzac Day, sailing club lunches and trips to Sydney Town Hall to sing along to all the Good Old Days Concerts.
“Last week we went to Chinatown for a stroll through the Chinese Gardens and are presently taking bookings for the Beauty and the Beast stage show,” Pam said.
“In July, our meeting features the Banjo Boys who describe the different banjos as well as play them.”
For anyone interested in joining or attending a meeting, phone Pam on 0438 280 402.
