Premier visits to hear local issues

PREMIER Christ Minns, along with his ministers, address the first East Hills Community Cabinet, with the cost of living crisis among the many concerns raised.

CONCERN about the rising cost of living was one of the main issues attendees raised when Premier Chris Minns and his ministers took part in the first East Hills Community Cabinet last week.
Held at Club Condell Park, ministers first met with community groups, allowing organisations to directly raise concerns and ask for support in certain areas.
This was followed by a community forum which was open to the public.
Among other concerns were the importance of policing in the community, the need for increased funding and support for healthcare and disability services, and the removal of the wages cap for crucial professions such as nurses and teachers.
State MP for East Hills, Kylie Wilkinson, chaired the forum and said it was a great opportunity for locals to get vocal and active about issues they were passionate about.
“It was fantastic to see East Hills residents interact with cabinet ministers and discuss the issues that matter to them the most,” she said.
“It was also a great opportunity for the Premier and ministers to visit East Hills and speak directly to residents about what the NSW Government is doing for our community.
“I will continue to advocate in the best interests of the electorate and represent the voices of East Hills residents to the NSW Government.”
