A fantastic evening where many old friends caught up, volunteers – representing all codes – each received a gift bag including gift vouchers and a recognition certificate for their tireless efforts.
The club’s Sport and Partnership Advisor Matthew Starr said it was great to get together with the volunteers and celebrate their achievements in what has been a challenging period during Covid and long bouts of wet weather.
“Bankstown Sports was created by volunteers 60 years ago and it’s no secret that the very fabric of our club are the sporting volunteers who show up, week after week, month after month, to keep our grassroots sports teams running,” he said.
“This event was held to show our heartfelt appreciation for all that they do and acknowledge their unwavering dedication.
“I’m sure everyone is looking forward to a less stressful 2023.”
