MEMBERS of the local Portuguese community came together on Tuesday to learn how to best reduce their plastic waste. The workshop at St Peters Library involved residents examining common plastic waste, identifying the different plastics they use at home, and learning why some cannot be accepted at kerbside recycling. Facilitator Louie Leung offers some simple advice on how to reduce plastic waste to Maria Beira, Maria Santos, Joqquim Faustino, Laurinda Faustino and Maria Odete.
