Police search uncovered pistol, drugs

A GLOCK pistol was allegedly found under a lounge cushion at a home in Condell Park during a police search on Tuesday.

Strike Force Raptor investigators charged a man after allegedly seizing a pistol, prohibited drugs and nearly $30,000 cash, as part of a major disruption operation targeting criminal networks in the south-west.
Just before 7am, police conducted a Firearms Prohibition Order (FPO) and Weapons Prohibition Order (WPO) search at a home on Market Street, where they allegedly located the pistol as well as $29,150 cash, nearly 150g of cocaine, 40g of methylamphetamine (ice), cannabis and prescription medication.
All items will be sent for further examination.
A 25-year-old man arrested at the home was charged with possess unauthorised prohibited firearm, possess unregistered firearm (pistol), not keep firearm safely (prohibited firearm), knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, two counts of supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity), possess prohibited drug, possess/attempt to prescribed restricted substance and use, supply, acquire or possess defaced firearm.
Investigations are continuing.
