Emergency services responded to the carnival ride section about 8pm on Monday, April 11, following reports of a brawl during which two boys, aged 16 and 17, suffered stab wounds.
The older boy died en route to hospital, while the younger boy underwent treatment for a wound to his leg.
Strike Force Calle was established to investigate the incident, which is now being led by detectives from the Homicide Squad, along with Auburn Police Area Command and South West Metropolitan Region.
The investigation has also been assisted by specialist forensic officers, who have conducted extensive examinations and analysis.
As investigations continue, Strike Force Calle detectives have released CCTV footage of a number of people who police believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
It’s believed some of the persons depicted may have had a direct line of sight to the incident and could have vital information for investigators.
Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty said it was frustrating that there are people withholding information.
