Boy, 15, driving, fled RBT
A POLICE pursuit has led to the arrest of a 15-year-old from Riverwood who allegedly tried to avoid a random breath testing on Canterbury Road, Bankstown, on Sunday, May 26. At 8.50pm, police said they saw the vehicle suddenly stop before the RBT site, conduct a U-turn and accelerate away. After a short pursuit, the teenager was arrested. The teen has been charred with police pursuit, taking and driving a conveyance and exceedubg speed over 45km. He was refused bail to reappear on June 24.
Man found parked with drugs and cash
A MAN, 36, from East Hills was issued with a court attendance notice for possessing a prohibited drug. Police were patrolling Cottam Avenue, Bankstown, early Tuesday morning when they noticed a vehicle parked with the driver’s window down. Police spoke with the occupants of the vehicle including the 36-year-old and searched him, allegedly locating green vegetable matter and cash.
Charged with drug supply after search
A 45-YEAR-OLD man from Villawood has been charged with drug supply and dealing with the proceeds of crime. On Tuesday, May 28, police executed a search warrant on a residential premise in Gundaroo Street, Villawood. During a search of the property, police allegedly located green vegetable matter and cash. The 45-year-old male was arrested at the scene.
Suspended licence with cannabis in car
POLICE allegedly located cannabis in a car after they stopped the driver on Thursday, May 23. Police were patrolling Restwell Street, Bankstown, when they stopped a vehicle and spoke with the driver, a 20-year-old man from Condell Park. Police said they could immediately smell cannabis emanating from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle allegedly located green vegetable mater, while a check of his licence also revealed that he was suspended. The man was issued a future court attendance notice for possessing a prohibited drug and driving while suspended.
