Police & Defence Force helping vulnerable

NSW Police and the Australian Defence Force (ADF) assisted OzHarvest packing and distributing food hampers to support vulnerable communities at a pop-up hamper hub in Granville last Thursday, as part of Operation Covid-19 Assist.

Police have been joined by 300 defence force personnel to assist in conducting welfare and compliance checks, delivering food parcels, providing support at Covid testing clinics and helping set up vaccination stations across Sydney.
NSW Commander of Operation Covid-19 Assist, Colonel Warwick Young, said the ADF was ready, willing and able.
“We are privileged to be able to do our part to stop the spread of the coronavirus,” he said
