Plumber, gym named Australian champions

TWO businesses at Kingsgrove and Chullora have been named ‘Champions’ in their field at the 25th Australian Small Business Champion Awards Ceremony.

Dial Up Plumbing from Kingsgrove was named Champion Plumbing Service, while World Gym Chullora was awarded the Champion Gym category in front of more than 1,000 of their peers at The Star Sydney.
It’s the first national award win for Dial Up Plumbing owners Ben and Miriam Harb who were thrilled and excited to hear their business called out as the winner.
“We’re a family business and everyone is over the moon; it’s great all of our hard work and always wanting the best for our customers has paid off,” Miriam said.
“From having to leave school and start work early when his Dad got sick and later being joined by sister Claire, brother Charlie and nephew Chris, Ben was able to grow the business firstly operating from inside his mother’s garage.
“He continues to apply his Maronite values to the business and would say his success is a blessing from God.
“I could not be more proud of him and the whole Dial-Up family.”
Representatives of Dial Up and World Gym received an award statuette, a limited edition 25th anniversary commemorative coin and certificate, as well as national recognition for their efforts as an industry leader.
Awards founder and Precedent Productions Managing Director Steve Loe said the Australian Small Business Champion Awards was a way to recognise the efforts of small business people whose efforts contribute to the prosperity and vitality of communities across Australia.
