Players have ball in ‘surprise’ visit with Eels heroes

GETTING to meet their heroes, Merrylands Rams Junior Rugby League Football Ball Club players got a surprise visit at training last week when Parramatta Eels stars winger Zac Cini and hooker Brendan Hands dropped in to say hi.

Rams Operation Manager Kevin Semaan said the young players were thrilled and got involved in team chats, asked for tips and took heaps of selfies.
“We’re a small family club that’s been thriving for 102 years but we love getting extra inspiration from the code’s leading players,” he said.
Enjoying a lot of success this season, Semaan says the club fields 14 teams from A Grade to U6s.
“We do so well considering we are right in the middle of the district and our door is always open for other players and their families to join us; it’s a great club,” he said.
