Earlwood Oval playground and Punchbowl’s Arthur Park have been given a makeover, while Bankstown’s R.M. Campbell Reserve has seen the installation of new exercise equipment so parents can join in the fun too.
Canterbury Bankstown Mayor Khal Asfour says the council has been working hard to upgrade play spaces throughout the City for all the community to enjoy.
“The unique play equipment caters to a broad range of ages and abilities,” he said.
“There’s something for every kid … and every big kid at heart. I’m so excited to see the community take full advantage of these fantastic new facilities.”
Earlwood Oval playground, Earlwood, has some great new facilities including a play tower, coconut swing and a half basketball court.
Arthur Park in Punchbowl has gone from concrete to colour with a new and improved basketball court, climbing web, ping pong table and in-ground trampoline.
“The council has slam dunked the new amenities at Arthur Park, they’re sure to bring hours of fun to kids young and old,” Mayor Asfour said.
Upgrades to R.M. Campbell Reserve include a new outdoor gym and a much-needed refresh to the pedestrian bridge.
Mayor Asfour says the playgrounds are now open and free to enjoy.
