Pet’s Day Out fun for animal lovers

GOUGH Whitlam Park was full of wagging tails and whiskers on Sunday as hundreds gathered at the council’s Pet’s Day Out.

Dogs, cats and even a bearded dragon (pictured) took to the stage to showcase their style in the best dressed pets’ competition, while Bondi Vet Star Doctor Lisa Chimes offered up her tips and tricks on pet health and safety.
Councillor Clare Raffan, who attended the event, said it was huge success and a fun day out for families and their furry friends.
“It was a great way for pet owners to get advice from leading experts and the pets loved taking part in the 500 paws walk,” she said.
The council’s Companion Animals team was also on hand to provide information on responsible pet ownership and offer free microchipping.
