Perfect waves all day long soon a reality at Urbnsurf

IMAGINE being able to ride the same number of perfect waves in a one-hour session that you would spending a month in the ocean?

That will soon become a reality when the State’s first ever wave-generated park, Urbnsurf Sydney opens its doors at Sydney Olympic Park in Autumn next year after rain delayed construction and derailed plans for a Summer opening.
Set on a 3.2 hectare site, it will provide perfect waves for more than 1,000 people through the gates every day for a surf session, and countless more as spectators or to enjoy other amenities on site.
These include a massive event space next to the lagoon, Surf Academy, cabanas for private use, 20m leisure pool and 8m kids pool, playground, surf-skate pad, retail store, high-performance centre, multifunction room and health and wellness studio.
The park will also feature a variety of different food and beverage offerings including an up-scale restaurant venue with a rooftop terrace, a café and a kiosk to ensure there’s something for everyone – from surfers to spectators and foodies.
Urbnsurf CEO Damon Tudor said that to see the wave park dream coming to life was exciting.
“What we’re building here is not only an awesome place for anyone to come and get awesome stoke during their surf session, but a venue that truly has something for everyone,” he said.
