Peer Support event for autistic on offer

OFFERING an opportunity to lead a more fulfilling life, a Peer Support Event for Autistic Adults will be held at Club Rivers, Riverwood, on Saturday, July 27, from 6pm.

With few social opportunities for adults on the spectrum in Sydney, NSW not-for-profit Autism Community Network (ACN) has teamed up with Different Journeys, whose peer support events in Melbourne, have been bringing together over 100 people each month to enjoy social experiences.
ACN is duplicating these events in the hope it will become a regular opportunity for autistic adults to connect with like-minded individuals.
“These events where people can come together for a chat, a meal, join in on a quiz and feel part of a group, encourage social inclusion which is extremely beneficial to all,” Mr Drakoulis, Founder & CEO of ACN, said.
People will also be able to use their NDIS funding for this event as a peer support experience.
