The Squiggles & Giggles Early Learning Childcare Centre Director said she was invited to the award ceremony at Clarence House in Belmore and told she was a finalist.
“I was shocked when my named was called out as the winner and so pleased that I brought my team with me,” she said.
Diligent and passionate about providing children with a great start to life, her preschool program was recently assessed as ‘exceeding’ in quality.
“We have about 60 families but even the ones whose children have left continue to maintain a connection, supporting our fundraisers,” she said.
With the aim of supporting a charity every month, Ghada has organised many world’s greatest shaves, red nose days, Giving Back Australia and for heart research among the many.
Described by her nominee as a leader and role model in the community, Ghada encourages the children to have a hands-on approach and includes them in the events, even getting them to regularly pack the charity hampers.
“She also expects the children to engage with the community and assert themselves and recently hosted a morning tea so that the children could meet community leaders like Lakemba MP Jihad Dib,” the nominee wrote.
Ghada said: “I am very grateful for the win but it’s not just for me but for all of my staff and my fantastic community.”
