Panania Salvos moving across road to stock even larger range

AFTER 14 years, the Salvation Army Family Store at Panania will close its doors for good on Sunday, March 23.

However South West Sydney Salvos Stores area manager Steve Gillespie says the good news is that a brand new Salvos Store is opening directly across the street at 136 Towers Road in their Panania Corp Building on Monday, April 6.
“All our staff and volunteers will be moving as well and they are very excited about the new shop,” he said.
“The new store will be a fresh new retail shop carrying three times more clothing and we will still have all the pre-loved homewares, shoes, manchester and so much more.”
He says they will also stock new product lines including household cleaning products, personal care, shampoos, as well as a range of new pillow-top mattresses all at great prices.
Mr Gillespie said unfortunately the new site won’t have space for the four donation bins from across the street.
“What we need is for donors to bring in their pre-loved items during our opening hours which are Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm,” he said.
“Items left around the bins are often stolen, rummaged through and damaged, and it then becomes a dumping issue for us, with the cost of having to send that waste to landfill.
“When people donate they want their preloved items to be of some value to those that need help and support in our community, so we would encourage donors to please bring their items to us where we can take them and put them straight into our sorting process and of course thank them for their kind donation.”
