Pair charged over bag snatch attacks on women aged 62, 91

A MAN and a woman have been charged after two alleged shocking attacks on women aged 62 and 91.

A 62-year-old was inside a service station on Monday, November 14, about 5.30am, when a woman allegedly stole her handbag.
Police said the woman tried holding onto her bag, and was dragged a short distance and collided with a concrete bollard, sustaining minor injuries.
The alleged attacker fled the scene in a gold-coloured Mazda.
Ten days later, a 91-year-old woman who was waiting outside a bowling club on Merrylands Road, Merrylands, about 3.45pm, suffered minor injuries when she was allegedly pushed to the ground and her bag stolen.
Investigations led police to a home in Merrylands where they arrested a 28-year-old man and a 39-year-old-woman.
The man was charged with robbery and dishonestly obtain property by deception and the woman was charged with robbery, dishonestly obtain property by deception, make/furnish a statement which is false/misleading and dispose of property.
