Coach and Science teacher Andrew Lentini said they played as a team week in and week out and put in a huge effort on grand final day to win the game with one reserve.
He said it was really important to them that they win again since it was their last year of playing in the competition ahead of graduating to Year 11 this year.
“They’re such a great bunch of boys who deserve their success and our congratulations,” he said.
“All mates, they work incredibly hard on their footy, practising during breaks and at lunchtime and some have formed a team outside of school so they will keep playing together.
“This was a rare group of champions since they started playing together at a young age but we’re still hopeful of success in the future; we’ve got a few Year 9s now keen to follow in their footsteps.”
OzTag champs for third time
THE Senior Boys OzTag team from Sir Joseph Banks High School, Revesby, has done it again – for the third straight year – winning the Bankstown Zone Grand Final.
