As well as seeing familiar faces, there were plenty of new friendships to make and lots of promise and potential in the air with research showing that parental interest and involvement in a child’s education, has a direct link to student engagement and achievement; it’s also the ideal time to set limits on social media, television and the internet – and then be prepared to follow them up.
