Julia’s subjects comprised Biology, Chemistry, English Advanced, Latin Continuers and Latin Extension.
Close on her heels, Olivia Arvanitis earned an ATAR of 99.90 and came equal first in the state in Biology and second in the state in Science Extension.
She is also on the HSC All-Round Achievers list for her Band 6 results in Biology, Chemistry, Economics, English Advanced, English Extension 1 and Science Extension.
Additionally, Meriden girls took out the top two spots in the state in Spanish Beginners, with Christiana Stone coming first in the state and awarded an ATAR of 99.40.
She is another HSC All-Round Achiever along with Grace Li who earned an ATAR of 99.90 and came second in the state in Spanish Beginners.
Belinda Ji, also an HSC All-Round Achiever, came equal first in the state in Community and Family Studies and earned an ATAR of 98.1.
Overall and in keeping with Meriden’s tradition of exceptional academic performance, the class of 2020 achieved HSC results that placed them at the top of the state, with 30 earning places on the HSC All-Round Achievers list, which equates to 19 per cent of the cohort, after 58 per cent received an ATAR over 90.
Many have already been awarded coveted university scholarships.

ACHIEVING the highest possible ATAR of 99.95, Meriden School Dux Julia Chung came sixth in the state in Biology and is on the HSC All-Round Achievers list for her top Band 6 results in every subject.
