The school continues to improve its HSC ranking thanks to innovative middle school programs blending the most effective practices from primary and secondary school.
With more than 90 per cent of students from non-English speaking backgrounds, the school has implemented personalised, targeted teaching and learning strategies in literacy and numeracy to help every individual thrive.
Strong partnerships with Western Sydney University, Sydney University and NSW University, commencing from Year 7, provide students with opportunities of further study beyond high school as well as raising their educational aspirations.
Coming first and third place in the 2019 State Solar Car Championships was a highlight along with the success of the in-school solar car competition and building a school track for testing.
As well as a free after-school homework centre, there are also enrichment classes which don’t just cater to students who excel in science or maths but also for those who are more creative or sporty.
“A lot of people get focused on getting kids into university and yes we punch above our weight there but we’re just as proud of the students we help to get an apprenticeship as a plumber or an electrician,” a spokesperson said.
“We’re here to serve the whole of society, not just the top achieving academic students.”
