The students, who received a trophy and certificate of commendation, were nominated by their school principals as being exemplary role models before a selection panel determined the final award recipients.
Badrie, a member of her Student Representative Council for six years (Year 7-12), has been an outstanding role model through initiatives such as recycling bottles, raising $15,000 for classroom cooling systems, as well as annual Clean Up Australia Day participation.
She is also a key advocate of the school’s breakfast club, RUOK events, Cancer Council and Autism Australia.
Ahmad has made an extraordinary contribution to initiatives focused on youth literacy, health and leadership in society as evidenced by his roles with a number of groups including Western Sydney Local Health District Youth Council; Wellbeing, Health and Youth Commission; eSafety Commissioner’s Online Safety Youth Advisory Council; Headspace Youth Reference Group; SES Holiday Program Cadets (Auburn) and more.
Outstanding youth receive recognition
