Maybe there’s a number you and your friends have sung in the car or at a party but have never sung on a stage?
Well now is your chance with Bankstown Theatre Company (BTC) hosting an Open Mic Night on Saturday, July 22, from 7pm at Bankstown Arts Centre.
To get in a little practice before the night, you can also book to attend one of four workshops from 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays, July 15 and 16 and July 22 and 23.
Cost is $25 a workshop or $80 for all four.
BTC committee member Kathy Crispin says the workshops offer a fantastic opportunity to learn from industry professionals.
“One of our workshop leaders will be former Bankstown TAP participant Shaun Rennie who starred in the original Mama Mia with Rhonda Birchgrove and was on the team that produced Phantom of the Opera,” she said.
“Shaun will be discussing character portrayal through dialogue and other workshops will be on song presentation, stage presentation and audition preparation.
“I would thoroughly recommend booking for one of these masterclasses and then come along to the Open Mic night and share your talents.”
