PREMIER Gladys Berejiklian has pleaded with residents to stay at home and only leave if you must, with 172 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, bringing the Bondi cluster to 2,138.
“Do not mingle between households,” was her blunt message to everyone.
“It is really important for people not to leave home unless they absolutely have to and, in particular, do not mingle.”
“Every time anyone of us steps foot outside the house we have to assume we have the virus or anyone we remotely come in contact with has the virus,” she urged.
With vaccines now available at many pharmacies and doctors clinics including the Flinders medical centre at Bankstown Sports – and more to come – the Premier has urged people to get the vaccine.
She also again stressed the importance of getting tested – even if you have the mildest of symptoms.
“It is vital people continue to come forward for testing to help us find any Covid-19 cases in the community,” she added.
