Only 10 but Maurice scores 100th

HE may have only recently turned 10 but Maurice Marroun (pictured centre, standing behind poster) has just racked up his 100th game playing for St Johns Eagles in the U10s in the Canterbury Junior League competition.

Having played seven years for the club after starting aged three-and-a-half years, Maurice loves training and going to the games.

“He is always outside kicking a ball around,” Dad James said.

The Bulldogs fan lists his favourite players as Adam Elliott, Michale Lichaa, Josh Reynolds, Matt Mcllwrick, Craig Woodward and Branson Harrison, some of whom were there on the weekend to watch him play his 100th match.
