Officers send messages of support to sick young

AUBURN Police have been helping brighten the lives of many children in hospital with messages of support and well wishes.

Supporting the Little Helpers on the Run project – a not-for-profit charity organisation run by children, changing the world with simple acts of kindness – officers joined the young ones to create heartfelt cards, with their own lovely, warm messages.
Auburn Police Area Commander, Superintendent Simon Glasser, said it was an easy decision get behind the project.
“It only took a moment of our time to write a short message that will hopefully bring a smile to the face of someone not feeling their best,” he said.
“It is a great initiative by a supportive community group.”
Senior Constable George Balamoan said the project was easy to support because it was such a great idea.
“Sometimes just a few words can brighten someone else’s day,” he said.
