Officers meet with young for walk to school

THE spotlight was on safety, health and the environment, when Auburn and Cumberland police joined primary schools for Walk Safely to School Day.

The day (May 19) was aimed at raising awareness of the health, road safety, transport and environmental benefits that regular walking or alternative active transport (especially to and from school) can provide for the long term well-being of children, not just on May 19, but every day.
Auburn police (pictured) joined students at Auburn Public School to help make those important steps towards a healthier future.
