Offer range of opportunities to develop talents

WITH Anoushay Khan receiving an ATAR of 95.85, the highest mark of its 2020 HSC cohort, Auburn Girls High School encourages students to set high expectations and achieve their personal best as evidenced in this result along with many others.

Also winning places on the High Achievers list, were: Safiya Alameddine, Band 6 in English Advanced and Legal Studies; Aysha Al-Mouhajer, Band 6 in Community and Family Studies and PDHPE; Catherine Do, Band 6 Chemistry; Aayhat Gebara, Band 6 in Information Processes and Technology, Maths Standard 2 and PDHPE; Doha Goreshi, Band 6 in Chemistry; Zara Hanif, Band 6 in Investigating Science; Claire Huang, Band 6 in Mathematics Advanced; Aisheeya Huq, Band 6 in English Advanced; Asiya Mohamed Fazal, Band 6 in Legal Studies; Setara Naidari, Band 6 in Investigating Science; Hiba Osman, Band 6 in Mathematics Standard 2; and Anna Tran, Band 6 in Chemistry and E4 in Mathematics Extension 1.
“At Auburn Girls High School, we are extremely proud of the achievements of the HSC class of 2020,” Relieving Principal Belinda Diamond said.
“We offer an extensive curriculum with a broad range of opportunities for our students to engage in their areas of interest, support strategies to encourage academic excellence and provide our graduates with the skills to transition effectively into tertiary educational pathways and the broader community.
“Events of 2020 were unexpected, but our students demonstrated resilience and determination, crystallising in excellent results and useful lifelong skills.”
