Oddities and Curiosities Expo to thrill

BRACE yourself for one of the strangest and most exciting events of the year, The Oddities and Curiosities Expo, the ultimate celebration of all things peculiar and extraordinary (pictured), at Sydney Showground this weekend.

A one-of-a-kind travelling showcase featuring over 150 oddity vendors and artists from across the world, this is where the weird, wonderful and downright bizarre come together in a fascinating display of the extraordinary.
If you appreciate the strange and unusual, this is your playground.  Step into a world where you can browse and shop for rare and unique items, including taxidermy, preserved animal specimens, original horror and Halloween-inspired artwork, antiques, metaphysical accoutrements, rare jewellery, handcrafted oddities, skulls, bones and funeral collectibles.
But it’s not just about shopping; it’s an immersive experience.
The expo offers photo ops, tarot readings, sideshow performers and concessions to keep attendees entertained throughout the day.
Founded by the USA’s Michelle and Tony Cozzaglio, it is the first and largest travelling expo that features oddities businesses and dark artists.
“We have a deep passion for supporting odd small businesses so started this expo to provide a safe place for anyone to be themselves surrounded by a community of like-minded people,” Michelle said.
“We work with the best exhibitors in the world and curate our show to highlight exactly what our wonderful attendees hope to see.
“All animals in the taxidermy class and other parts of the show – like preserved specimens – are sourced ethically and died of natural causes.”
The Expo is on this Saturday and Sunday, December 2 and 3, 10am-6pm.
Tickets: $25 in advance or $30 at the door with children 12 and under free, at odditiesandcuriositiesexpo.com/tickets.
